In a time of challenges to social justice, finding pathways to healing is more vital than ever. This year’s Patricia Arredondo Speaker Series, presented by the School of Counseling and Counseling Psychology in ASU’s College of Integrative Sciences and Arts, welcomes renowned scholar Helen Neville, a professor of educational psychology and African American studies at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, who earned her PhD in counseling psychology. Her presentation, Radical Healing in Uncertain Times: Cultivating Personal and Collective Hope and Joy, will delve into how the psychology of radical healing framework and liberation-based approaches can empower individuals and communities of color to reclaim spaces of care and resilience. Through research, conceptualizations of joy and practical strategies, Neville will inspire attendees to embrace hope and joy as tools for healing justice.
Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, connect and honor the transformative work shaping our world today.
