  • What does a just future look like—and how do we imagine our way there?
  • Be part of a dynamic evening of storytelling, visionary thinking, and collective dreaming at Storying Just Futures. This interactive convergence brings together faculty, students, early career researchers, and changemakers from the humanities and sciences for an inspiring program that centers justice, imagination, and community.
  • At a time when graduate education, postdoctoral opportunities, and early career paths are shifting in response to changing educational, funding, and professional landscapes, how do we design futures that are not only sustainable—but just? What do careers planned to advance a just future look like now? And how can we draw from the “toolbox” of visionary fiction and futures thinking to imagine our way forward?
  • The evening will feature:
  • Visionary Lecture by Giovanna Di Chiro (Swarthmore College): “World Making from the Ground Up”
Roundtable Discussion on Environmental Justice, Visionary Fiction, Worldmaking, and Futures Thinking
Futures Exercise & Icebreaker: Reflect on your personal journey, career aspirations, and the stories that shape our shared future

Snacks and Refreshments will be served

Storying Just Futures is generously funded by the Create the Change Project and the UNESCO BRIDGES Flagship Hub
