Meet the creators of ‘The Lego Movie,’ ‘Animaniacs,’ ‘Robot Chicken,’ Tim Burton's 'Corpse Bride' and more animated favorites!

You grew up on films and TV shows like “The Lego Movie,” “Dog Man,” Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride,” “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Robot Chicken" and “Animaniacs.” Now, meet the creators behind some of your favorite childhood memories. Join The Sidney Poitier New American Film School for a Speaker Series panel on storytelling in animation moderated by tech executive Wendy Aylsworth, Governor for the new Production & Technology Branch of the Academy of Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. The panel will feature:

  • Allison Abbate, BAFTA Award-winning producer and executive who worked on the films “The LEGO Movie,” Tim Burton’s “Corpse Bride,” “The Iron Giant” and “Space Jam.”

  • Musa Brooker, a director, animator, writer and producer whose credits include the Will Ferrell Christmas classic “Elf,” “SpongeBob SquarePants,” “Robot Chicken” and “Black-ish.”

  • Peter Hastings, Emmy and Peabody award-winner who wrote and produced iconic Steven Spielberg shows at Warner Bros. including “Tiny Toon Adventures,” “Animaniacs” and “Pinky and the Brain,” as well as the film “Dog Man.”
