mRNA: A New Direction for Vaccines

The rapid development of the mRNA vaccines by Pfizer and Moderna during the recent COVID-19 pandemic was viewed variously as a miracle and with suspicion. In this talk presented by The Emeritus College Colloquium Series, Professor Brenda Hogue, Professor of Virology at the School of Life Sciences and the Biodesign Center for Applied Structural Discovery, will give an overview of mRNA vaccines and their emerging broader usage.
