Dean’s Speaker Series: Dean Joanna Grabski presents Captain Lauren Johnston, DVM

Dean Joanna Grabski is proud to host inspiring professionals, leaders and innovators from across fields and industries as part of her virtual 2025 Dean’s Speaker Series. Invited speakers will discuss first-hand professional experiences, research and ideas. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions and engage with the speakers to advance their educational, professional and academic careers. The Dean’s Speaker Series seminars are free and open to the ASU community.

Captain Lauren Johnston, DVM, a veterinarian for the U.S. Army, earned her bachelor’s degree in global disease biology from UC Davis and later attended the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Johnston has provided veterinary support across the U.S. including working with U.S. Navy dolphins and California sea lions. Currently stationed in Yuma, Arizona, she ensures the health and well-being of military dogs and service member pets while guaranteeing food safety for service members on post.
