Join us for the book launch of authors Rafael A. Martínez and Jennifer R. Nájera as they engage in an important conversation about undocumented youth movements and students.
llegalized by Rafael A. Martínez takes readers on a journey through the history of the rise of undocumented youth social movements in the United States in the twenty-first century. The book follows the documentation trail of undocumented youth activists spanning over two decades of organizing.
In Learning to Lead, Jennifer R. Nájera explores the intersections of education and activism among undocumented students at the University of California, Riverside. Taking an expansive view of education, Nájera shows how students’ experiences in college—both in and out of the classroom—can affect their activism and advocacy work.
